Charity
Ever since its beginning in 1863, the Concordia Ball has always been a charity event. In the early years, the proceeds of the ball went to the Concordia Social Fund, which supported journalists in need as well as their widows and families and contributed to school fees and funeral costs.
Today, the profits go to Concordia’s Journalism Legal Support, a unique program in Austria that gives journalists access to legal advice. The goal is to promote independent journalism by providing journalists with legal training, counseling, and financial support for legal defence. We would greatly value your contribution to our Journalism Legal Support fund. |
